Straight tools, honest sourcing.
Quick Travel Tools is a small, independent set of free tools that answer common pre-trip questions (visa requirements, mobile data, and packing) without accounts, apps, or clutter.
Where our data comes from
We believe in showing our work. Each tool states its source and the date it was last updated:
- Visa requirements are verified route by route against official sources: government immigration portals, official gazettes, and official announcements. The dataset covers 43,581 routes (199 passports x 219 destinations; a passport's own country is not a route) and is re-checked every day. When a rule changes, we log it in our public changelog with the source.
- eSIM data estimates are calculated from typical per-activity data usage. They estimate how much data you'll likely need, not exact prices.
- Packing lists are generated from trip type and length; quantities are sensible defaults you should adjust to your own needs.
Why we always say "verify"
Immigration rules change frequently and depend on details we can't see: your specific nationality, purpose of travel, layovers, and recent policy changes. Our tools are a fast first check, not an official source. Before you book or fly, confirm with the destination's official immigration authority or embassy. We say this on every page because it matters.
How we make money
The tools are free. We keep them free with affiliate links where relevant (clearly labelled where they appear) and with Embed and API plans for websites and products. We run no ads on the site. Affiliate links never change the guidance we give; we'd rather you trust the tool than click a link.
